Mechanical Fitter

Opportunity

Lyndhurst Precision, established for over 35 years and now one of the North West’s leading engineering, fabrication and machining companies, requires an experienced and gifted Mechanical Fitter for our facility in Chorley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and multi skilled fitter, who wishes to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm.

Essential Requirements

• Must be time served with post qualification experience in a technical fitting environment.
• Highest standards of Health, Safety and Quality is essential.
• Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings, and BOM creation.
• Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming part.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to reach a quality solution.
• Working with various materials including Mild steel, Alloys and stainless steel.
• A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team.

Beneficial Requirements

• Knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulic system.
• Electrical knowledge.
• Ability to polish various materials.
• A basic understanding of using CAD design software.
• Forklift truck operator trained .
• Driving License.

Hourly Rate

£15.50 – £16.87 per hour

Working Week

Standard Week: 37 hours
Mon-Thurs: 7:30-16:00 inc. 30 mins lunch break 12:00-12:30
Fri:7:30-12:30 – No lunch break

Holidays

25 days per annum + bank holidays

Overtime

Overtime rate, if available: Additional hours x 1.5
